Funding opportunities for participation in the Second International Symposium on Plastics in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic Region, 22-23 November 2023, Harpa Conference Hall, Reykjavík, Iceland #ArcticPlastics2023.

The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) is pleased to support early career researchers for participation in the #ArcticPlastic2023.

Grants will be awarded according to availability and interest and will be based on estimated travel costs, but not exceeding USD 1.500. Deadline for applications is the 28th of September and applications will be evaluated by the 16nd of October. The following criteria applies:

• The applicant should be under 35 years of age and/or have completed a PhD within the past five years.
• The applicant should have an accepted abstract for either a poster or oral presentation at the ArcticPlastics2023.
• The applicant must fill in an online application form and be registered for the ArcticPlastics2023.
• Support is subject to the number of applications and available funding.
• Priority is given to ECS applicants affiliated with institutes in ICES member countries

The Government of Iceland is pleased to support Indigenous Peoples and young professionals for participation in the #ArcticPlastics2023.
